Hello everyone,
I am the proud new owner of an '87 S4 AT Diamond blue. Which I bought from my Dad (original owner), my first time driving it was when I bought it from him! It's in very good shape and I am in the process of bringing it into pristine condition and can finally stop lurking and actually participate in the various 928 forums! I have a tech degree in electronics so hopefully I can provide some help with electrical gremlin problems.
So the passenger door has a quarter sized bubble in the paint (which appears to be the orignal factory paint) and what looks like a chip above it that has been "touched-up". You can push the bubble in so it's definitely the paint. Since the door panel is aluminum should I be worried or can I wait to fix it, and concentrate on other stuff for a while? Or is there a fix that doesn't require repainting the entire door?

Welcome and congrats on your purchase. You probably got the best deal knowing where the car came from. I would sand it and pop a little primer on it. If you use grey primer on that little spot it would not be to much of an eye soar with the Diamond Blue.
