Too good to be true? here is a "pair" of racing seats. 0 bids, so BIN is good. $80.00 Shipping is $150.00 No affiliation. 6 hours to go. Just the messenger.

I really cannot see myself in a baby seat. But I know that is because I do not race and never will. At 80 bucks, why not buy and try??? The kids can always use them for toys if you don't like them. Or sell them at a Rice Convention for 500 ....

Those look similar to the seats my friend has in his pontiac. Far below the quality I'd ever put in my Porsche. Just becaue they look cool and have a 5-point mounting holes does not mean they are quality. If they are not FIA approved, they are not racing seats and my actually be very dangerous to use vs the factory Porsche seats.

My brother bought seats like that for his 928 a couple years ago. The initial quality is not bad, but the material wears out really fast and the universal mounting rails are a nightmare to fit into the 928. The original seats were sitting alot lower than these ones. He lost a good 2" of height when he installed them. Even after re-fabricating the rails the seats were sitting too high. They would be prefect if you wanted to sell your 928 and the original sets R in bad shape. It makes the cars interior look really nice, but only until the outer bolter starts to wear out (less than 6 months).
If it would be possible to get the correct 928 mounting rails for this seats my story might be a little bit more on the positive side.
I hope this helps.

I guess they aren't great, others available at this price, I hadn't really paid attention to ebay seats before, just know that Recaros are way more. These are not Recaro.

Recaro, Sparco, Konig just to name a few are brands I would stick with. Your seat is one of they key factors in an accident, not a place to go cheepo.

I almost bought these from Kelly Moss for my 944 a few years ago.

Buy a good set of seats...!! If the brackets fail, or the seat breaks when you smash it, it will be your own fault for skimping on safety...
Or maybe you can sue john doe for making a cheapo seat...? Hmmmmmmmm..
