Default Frenzy 8 Weekend Activities!

Good Morning,

Halloween weekend is shaping up to be a fantastic Porsche weekend! Along with the 8th annual Porsche 928 Frenzy activities at Curry's Automotive Service in Sterling, VA on Friday and Saturday (http://www.excell.net/928frenzy/ and http://www.pcapotomac.org/pca/html/r...28frenzy.shtml), you now have Sunday morning option of participating in the First Annual PCA Potomac Golf Tournament at Redgate Golf Course in Rockville,
MD(http://www.pcapotomac.org/pca/html/rally/golf.shtml) or in the PCA Potomac Halloween "Trick or Beep" Rally through scenic Loudoun County, VA and Montgomery county, MD(http://www.pcapotomac.org/pca/html/r...oweentob.shtml)!

After running the rally or playing golf, come to the PCA Potomac Halloween Concours, Party, and Costume Contest on Sunday afternoon at Knight Financial in Rockville, MD. The rally finish line is at Knight Financial and Redgate Golf Course is only a couple of miles from Knight Financial. The party is open to the entire family, with activities for adults and children! For details go to http://www.pcapotomac.org/pca/html/r...oweentob.shtml and to http://www.knightfinancialgroup.com/upcoming_event.asp. The pictures on the Knight Financial web site are from the 2002 PCA Potomac Fall Foliage rally!

Don't miss this great weekend!

Regards,

Larry Gunter

Congratulations to the organizers of the 8th 928 Frenzy, Larry Gunter and John Eifert!

I was only able to attend part of the event, so slipped in mid-day on Saturday (in a M3) to find dozens of 928s filling Curry's parking lot. I always find the site of so many well maintained and cared for 928s, very soothing. While at the same time pangs of guilt for not having a street 928 arise.

928 owners all seem unique, yet their enthuseasm for the 928 is persistent, and such an event as the Frenzy is that unusual opportunity to meet, or renew friendships, with others that feel the same.

Thank you to all the sponsors of the events, as well as the many volunteers needed to make such an event happen.

I appreciate the opportunity the 928 Owners club had in continuing to be a sponsor of this event, and hope anyone considering such an event will allow the 928 Owners Club to support their event as well.

As I have said for a few years now, I hope to have a street 928 by the next event.

Congratulations again to those behind the event, and thanks again to those who supported the event!

Thanks for the kind words Stan, and you and and the 928 Owners Club for sponsoring the T-Shirts again this year, and for the excellent 928 Owners club keychains used foor door prizes. Hero's effort to this years Frenzy belongs to Larry Gunter and Nancy Elliot. If there was a Co-Chair this year it was more Nancy this year than myself. Then there is Len Zech from Austrailia who took a couple minor suggestions added a lot free and much appreciated graphic arts design hours and came up with a great Logo for Frenzy 8 this year. Thanks also to Betsy Andrade who took the design and despite several late chanages in the order and a couple of glitches with the artwork files, was able to deliver some great T-shirts in time for the event.

I'd like to thank all the sponsors this year and note their contributions:

Porsche Club of America - for underwriting the event and providing insurance.

928 Owners Club - T-shirts and Keychains as listed above.

Curry's Auto Service - For the fine facilities and the extra effort they put in to help the event staff and attendees.

928 Specialists - for their financial support to the Frenzy and the many door prizes they provided.

Knight Financial Group LLC. - for the fantastic post rally party they put on. I was moving my residence at the time, but I heard it was a fantastic event.

The Paisley Group - for a large load of their special 928 clothing and accessory products provided as door prizes.

Kinesis - for a 25% discount coupon on ANY Kenesis Motorsport Product and Kenesis action wear provided for door prizes.

The Power Broker - for their door prizes including a "test" pipe.

928 Motorsports - for a multitude of their products provided for door prizes and their differential tool and handy fluid pump provided for use on the Manual Transmission fluid changeout demonstration.

DEVEK Performance Products Inc. - who provided 4 $50.00 gift certificates as door prizes good towards your next DEVEK purchase.

Stan Shaw and Excell.net - for hosting the 928 Frenzy 8 website

Jager Engineering - for providing samples of many of their inovative products as door prizes.

SW Stereo Specialists - for the speakers they provided as door prizes

928 International - for providing 928 International action wear for door prizes.

Car Care Specialties, Inc. - for providing a fine polishing towel to all attendees.

9 Magazing - for their latest edition provided to all the attendees.

Please help me in thanking and supporting these great sponsors who support many if not all of the 928 events that happen each year.

Best Regards,
John Eifert
