Autotrader 89 5sp - S4 or GT???

I forget - are there some '89s with 5 speeds that aren't GTs???
It's definately a 5 speed, but it has what look to be S4 wheels. I looked through the registry and didn't see anything that looked like it. The VIN is WP0JB0929KS860795, which checks out as an '89. Is there a range of VINs just for GTs???

yes there are, and I believe based on the "Chuck Z" vin test that this is one of them....

Hi Bill,
I doubt that is a GT, too low of a VIN#, S4 wheels, S4 Oval Exhaust tip. It does have a "shorter than S4" shifter, but that could be easily changed. Too bad there is not a photo of the instrument cluster as there are tell-tale hints in the cluster that also help spot a GT.

I am not sure of the vin #, but the early '89 5spds were S4's. The GT has option code 639 if I recall correctly. Should be on the paper in the hatch if it is still there. My last 4 digits of my vin are 1179, built in 5/89 , so this car was built before mine.
