That is because it is---Paint code 001 Pearl Glanz/ 11 H 9 3 . I went and looked at the car last night. Nicole was rite...very light grey leather everything,a little rough but definitely a fixer and keeper. GTS mirrors, wheels, and muffler, factory cell phone wired w/hole in roof for broken antenna...no phone, missing rear sun visor(he has it),drivers seat don't work, passengers seat only slides on one track, factory radio and changer gone, passenger fog light broken out, door light switch/rear hatch problems, electric radiator fan motor going out, leaky rack, and by the look of the engine bay there are a few more leaks I couldn't see. The good things....new brain, alternator, battery and fuel dampener. Codes co2,158,195,418,513,570,586,650 The guy inherited the car and knows nothing about it and doesn't seem to want to discuss the history other than it was sitting for a long time indoors. Wants CASH NOW $12,000. he is not the registered owner.
Nicole call me about this car if you get a chance work#888-654-9424 Thanks, Rob

I was tempted to hit the BIN button after Nicole's praise, but was tempered by the Beast's assessment...

Randy, You would be the perfect guy to have the car....or Keith. But being Keith just got the GTS I don't think he will bite. It needs a good home and some one that can do there own work to bring her back. I was going to get it, but he is firm on his price of $12,000...due to all the calls telling him how rare the car is(?) ...but it needs allot of TLC.

Is the color really yellow? Or is it more of a gold? Thanks.

The option code list seems short for a showcar with all leather interior. None of those option codes are all pretty standard, nothing really unique.

Could there be more codes than what was provided?

Dang Rob...you're quick! You should have called me and I could have met you over there. Oh well, no need for me to go look at it now.

From what you describe, it ain't worth $12K...and it's an auto. No special deal except for the color. Car sounds ragged and I bet there is more than meets the eye as far as issues.

If I had the time and cash, yea...I could get that thing into sweet condition and up the value significantly. For the time being though, I have 2 cars that are in much better condition and more deserving of my money.

Did you take any pics?

I'm startin' to look for a cherry - and willing to pay for it.

Done the fixer-upper routine before and it seems it never gets fixed up to cherry-like condition.

Hmmmmmmm, no reserve auction starting at $6k and doesn't appear people are beatin the door down bidding on it or is everyone hanging back for a while? He might think about a lesser number than $12k........ BTW, doesn't Pearlglanz = Pearl Green?

Perlglanz just means pearl effect gloss. IT is a light yellow with pearl effect. Too bad the car has been neglected like this - if it really is the one I saw in Germany way back when, it was absolutely stunning!

In any case, I really, truly hope it goes into good hands. I can't do it right now - if I did not have such a beautiful '91 S4, I'd buy it in a heartbeat and even go through a total restauration. But my financial situation does not allow this right now or in the near future.

But I'd like to know where it goes - maybe I can buy it some time in the future?

Somebody please take some pictures and post them!!!

Actually I have seen Perlglanz up close and personal in South Africa on a 930. It is RARE RARE RARE. And it is not yellow. It is perlescent white. The pic looks yellow but if it truly perlglanz then it looks EXACTLY like a pearl.

I think I understand now, I looked at the description of the last US GTS and it does actually say "peralglanz green".

I have the PCNA info (supplied to me by Kim Crumb some years ago) on the car posted on my site here: pearlglanz green

Heinrich: The word "perlglanz" means pearl gloss - which is an effect that can be mixed into any color of the spectrum. The main difference is that instead of metallic particles, they use some synthetic particles that add the effect. This car is definitely yellow.

Have you ever seen a Nissan 300 in yellow metallic? That's probably the closest color I've ever seen on any other car.

This is one of very few cars that I'd be willint to take through the process of a full restauration - if needed. If I could afford it, I'd jump on it in an instant. I have dreamed of this car for too long...

Sure would like to see some high res pics of this car, sounds like one of those really special 928s. I hope whoever buys it, restores it to its former glory!
