I have the AT Italia Riva's and had no issues at all with rubbing of the sort. I have 255/40/17
in the rear and 225/45/17 in the front. Rubber is Yok AVS100 es Great combo. Looks awsome
also. I dont know what probs the others have, maybe it is there suspension. I'm even thinking
of 235/40 for the front next time. My suspension is stock and when my buddy and I go cruizin
there is no rubbing and we are not very small. I think that 928 spec. still sells them.

928 Specialists no longer offers the ATP Rivas. When I asked if I could buy some they said "not available": http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforu...t=tires+rubbing

I've always liked the flat dish original wheels. Not very exciting, but they look so solid and robust. I'm a 928 purist in the sense that I like what was offered at the time, as stock, standard equipment. At Devek Days 2004 I had a chat with a fellow who said that if you want performance, the flat dish ones are best as aerodynamically the wind just bounces over its large surface area - minimal drag for air to get into. OK, sounds plausible. Now if brake cooling is the parameter, then the bigger the voids then the better to allow more air. My brother, who's also a well-read enthusiast, told me this was the reason for the evolution to the Carrera Cups on the later GTSs. So then I get turned on by the Cups - they get my vote. Design 90 is #2, and flat dish, # 3. The day I get Carrera Cup wheels, the beefier, more angular ones, not the more rounded ones, will be on a red 5-speed GTS someday, not anytime soon.

HeyChuck...Your '79 is really nice . No side moldings, and chrome Turbo Twists, and the color is awsome.
