Old and New, what you have decided your cars are made for is up to you. As for me I continue to have years and years of pleasure out of mine. I really have no idea why you have resorted to such childish namecalling.

Sorry for the diminutive. Not meant to offend you. I'll edit it out if you like.

I stand by the fact that these cars were not designed for drag racing, and it is not I who decided that.

OK O&N ... glad I misread your intent ... as to design goal, if I used any of my Porsches (especially the 928's) as they were designed and intended, I would be in jail permanently. So, no-one in the US can or does use the 928 as it was designed, in other words as a high-speed cruiser that should take you Interstate at 150+mph for hours at a time.

Therefore we are left with alternative uses. I use my Porsches on a daily basis, and they can and do outrun most cars out there. So do the Porsches of most of my friends. No chance I'll ever change, as long as I can still drive attentively (read .... not too old yet).

I have owned several Cadillacs with the Northstar. Very good design except for the infernal oil leakage that impacts 99.9% of all Northstars in Cadillacs built prior to 2000. $1600 repair job to replace the lower engine gasket.

Incredible design flaw
