Default German Friends -- Favour Please?

Will one of our German friends please post a *good* photo of the Autobahn sing "End All Restrictions"? I want to use it as an avatar possibly ...

Heinrich we should have got a picture at that icecream shop in Mosier. The one that said: Porsche Speed limit 180mph all other cars 65mph.

Heinrich,

I am in Frankfurt next week - only for a half day - but if I see one I will take a picture.

You can see all German traffic signs on the website Sab has pointed to:

Page 16 has the "end of all limits" signs listed.

It's fun to browse this - there are a few other cute signs in there. Many have been updated in recent years, while others look really old fashioned...

Here is a similar site in English. The "end of all limits" sign is on Page 2

While browsing around I found a few other neat things:

A fundamental problem with speed limit signs is that they are so hard to read when you fly by. This officer explains to the biker that he did 250km/h in a 70km/h zone. The biker asks, how he is supposed to read a such small sign at that speed...

I could live with THIS limit:

Here is an example of the electronic traffic signs, as they are also used on the "intelligent road" - the stretch of Autobahn that detects traffic flow and weather/road conditions and sets the limits accordingly (or no limits, if none are necessary).

More on this topic at http://home.att.net/~texhwyman/elec.htm

I wish we had this one where we live... Some neighbors' friends seem to think that a car's horn is meant for everyday communication...

Here is how traffic signs should not be painted on the street:

After they realized their mistake, these workers probably added this sgn:

Germans are proud of their environment and natural styles of living:
