Default Side Marker LIght

I have a damaged rear quarter panel side marker light on my '85 Euro and am looking for a replacement. Apparently I will have to replace both to match. Can anyone recommend where to find decent looking side marker light? I have searched the archives and general web sites with little luck.

Golden, When they federalized the car upon entry they just used generic lights. There are no side markers on a Euro that were factory. You just have to find a pair from some other source. Junk yard or Ebay or what ever. If you find something good let me know. I've been looking for a year now on and off.

On my 78 euro they just drilled a hole and surface mounted little rectagular POS lights. IIRC the side lights on a 944 are shaped like the fronts on our 928's but are made to surface mount using the same type hole. Also, the 924 are surface mount but round. Another option is to buy a set of US 928 lights and cut the quarter panel to recess mount them.

I tried a couple of the big three a year or more ago. One suggested just putting on a reflector in place of the light. Not a bad idea but I haven't had any better lucking finding one of those I wanted either. Must be too picky I guess!

I will keep looking as I have been for the past year or two. I found a surface mount one from a ferrari site and am waiting on a reply. Will let you know if I find something decent.

Thanks again for the comments.

I have a set that stick out (roundish) on the organ donor, a front screw-on set on the track car, there are recessed ones on the swampmobile, I also have a full set front and rear on the Queen that will be removed next month when she's repainted (so you'll have to wait)

ya'll want em? pm me and make an offer

Default Side Marker Light (Found one)

I finally found and ordered matching side marker lights. Turns out mine were from a Ferrari. They line up exactly with the mounting holes.

Thought I would share the attached is a link and picture for reference.

Are you talking about the ones in front of the wheel or the ones behind that are actually slightly recessed? If its the latter, do a search of posts for people selling parts. At least one person here was parting out a Euro and had some up for sale either here or on ebay.
