For the fiberglass parts of a bodykit, does flex additive need to be used, or is it rigid enough to avoid cracking? I know the polyurethane ones need it? I would like to know so that when I talk to body shops I know they know what they are talking about.
Thanks

Fibreglass parts? Don't recall any from my paint job.
Flex additive is considered "optional" if the parts are painted on the car. Mandatory if they are removed, painted and put back.
As my front bumper had a big spider crack in it when I bought the car, I'd lean towards doing the car with flex additive either way. The side trim will benefit from it as well.
One issue with it is the need to use it on the entire car as it can change the look of the paint. (So I've been told)

Doesnt need to be used. The part is rigid enough that it will not bend. I see no reason to have it in there. But if you put it in, it wont hurt anything. It just gives the paint different charateristics.
