Let's delete the three minute delay. Does anyone know where the warning circuit leads, where is the logic?

Could anyone PM who can get a quote on any part of this project? We need to pull resources together to make something happen that will improve the timing belt weakness of our cars.

Default 3 minute warning

I have experienced the 3 minute delay. I can attest...it is 3 minutes on the nose. That is the reason my car is now sitting in my garage.

My tension was adjusted 75 miles ago and I have had the warning light come on again. I have to check the tension to find out if the belt loosened up again or if I have a bad wire somewhere.

I have spent the last two nights reading old TB post and I have only come across one post where the tension warning light came on after a re-tensioning but it turned out that the sensor wire was disconnected. I don't believe that is the case with mine since we checked the wire as best we could before we closed the belt covers.

Has anyone here ever had this same problem?

Heinrich- The tensioner was bone dry after the re-tensioning. Do you still think it is the circuit? My shark hates the garage.

Moon, yes. It is extremely common to break the tension warning connector either inside or outside the cover, when it is reinstalled. Should be easy to test .... no need to go in after it yet, just test for ground on the wire and plug ....

Heinrich,

A couple of things.

They would cost too much, not enough interest on them, in the event of a engine/TB grenade they would not hold up as well, and the static from lexan would attract dirt and particles, making it hard to see through.

The metal one with access doors seemed more viable.
