Well,
I finally got my speedhut gauges installed( 2years later...) and I must say I am rather impressed. I will be posting pictures later but very satisfied. Some folks said they saw too much light leakage however I found that wasn't the case; YMMV.
I did want to post and intersting experience though. The newer 2k3 Alpine Headunits 50wx4 headunits are very strong amps and require 10gauge wire grounds and power leads. Prior to the installation, I could crank up the Alpine with no problems. Post-Installation I found that I couldn't crank up past 20 without the Alpine completely turning off. My initial reaction fortunately turned out to be the right one. Ground. During the installation, I had used the same electrical ground found in the fuse panel for both the alpine and the indiglo thinking it shouldn't be a problem. Oops. Separated the grounds and VOILA! I could now crank the stereo again!

I'm not pleased with the light leakage, esp considering my gages are red light, and the leakage is blue. Also, tje clear plastic area around the warning light is annoying in the daytime due to glare.
My plan the next time I'm in there is tocut out the clear plastic area and paint the edges with black paint.
Note this will void the warranty.
The blue leakage is acceptable around the odo and trip odo as it helps to see them at night.
Sidenote: I'm gald to be back online

As a footnote, I have the reverse indiglo gauges. INMHO, this helped keeping it stock looking and not too many cutouts. I also used black paint around some of the edges. I kept my 3 3W bulbs in place to help with lighting up the needles. At first I thought this would be overkill, however it turns out very nice.
