LOL...I have been agonizing over the 82 if I am going to sell it or keep it. Still haven't decided. It may turn out to be "her" driver(when I don't use it! he he) Although, we were at the Pomona swap meet yesterday and she fell in love with an old Mercedes 190SL (Gull wing body style, but convertible) Nice car for a decent price and the guy is local. Anyway, I know I would probably kick myself if I sold the 82...i just love that car.

If its paid for..IMHO..keep it. If its nearly paid for keep it also.
Your 82 is a sweet car and is fairly unique (color). I think you would be bummed after it is gone especially with the work that you've put into it...with that, its got sentimental value as well Im sure.
Keep it, then on a rainy day years down the road, toss a blower on it!

Car already HAS a blower...ME! ...as much as I have put into that thing!

82 is long paid for. No rush to do anything with it...maybe keep it as a parts runner for the GTS...lol

Keith ... the 190 SL is rather heavy 2,600 lbs for it's size and not the same chassis as the Gullwing 300 or 300 roadster at all . Putting around in a 1950s vintage 1897 CC Mercedes "sports car" has to be ALL ABOUT LOOKS ....because it has nothing to do with driving enjoyment Zero -100 Kph 14.5 seconds and carburated ! A VW rabbit 4 cylinder would be a huge upgrade over that engine. Keep the old 928 stay with the 70s technology

It IS all about looks!...at least for her! Wasn't suggesting losing the 82 for the 190SL, just adding to the already cramped stable...but not with My money

Actually though taking 14 plus seconds to get to 60 MPH makes it unsafe to drive in L A , freeway merging forget about it.

I hear you Stig... Maybe you should post a new thread and go from there but keep in mind I imagine a lot of the SD area folks are probably going to Sharktoberfest.

Bill good point since Anaheim is only about 90 miles from San Diego The Oct 22-24th Sharktoberfest should have quite a number of southern Southern California 928 Owners ,at least for Saturday. So Stig I hope you have that Saturday off work , come by and we will buy you lunch (actually we buy BBQ for everyone). The Sunday outing to the Peterson Museaum in L A is sure to be a big success just a bit further from San Diego but closer for the northern Southern California Owners !
