Default Looking for mechanic in Columbia, SC area for pre-purchase

Hi guys,
I'm new to Rennlist. I live in Charleston, SC, and I'm looking at a 928 for sale in Columbia. I've looked online for Porsche mechanics in that area, but the only thing I can find is a Porsche dealership. Knowing dealerships' penchant for charging twice what a private mechanic can do, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good Porsche mechanic that can do a pre-purchase inspection of a 928. If not, I'll just take it to the dealership. Thanks guys (and gals(?)),

Dallas

Dallas, I'm not sure if you've already taken the car to the dealer for the PPI, but there is a place called Doc's Garage in Columbia that is supposed to be pretty good. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Chris. I haven't looked at it yet. I will probably do it this week. The current 928 owner uses Doc's garage. That will probably work out though, since I can ask about the maintenance history from the source. I guess I was trying to get a more "objective" opinion of the car, but Doc's should be fine. Thanks, again,

Dallas
