Mini Austin get together
This Saturday we had a small get together of the Austin, Texas 928 group. We are trying to revitalize this formerly large and active group. Unfortunately many of the old guard members no longer own 928s. Carl Samos graciously hosted the get togther at his home and had hoped to have his culdesac filled with sharks. Unfortunately, only three showed up, but we had a great time anyway. James Morrison brought his white 92 GTS auto and his wife drove their Hellblau 78 auto. In fact the only other P-car besides my '88 was Marc Reviel who showed up in his wife's turbo Cabrio. Here are few pics.

Really enjoyed getting to know James and we talked at length about his expreiences at OCIC. He brought along a three ring binder full of pics from the event and stories to go with each. If you have not seen his web site, you should check out his 6 car garage and stable of 928s. Including a 95 GTS and a full on race car. Here is the link:

Anyway, if there are any Austin area folks on the list that would like to help in our efforts, please get in touch... As MORE is definitely merrier!
Regards,
Bill

Hey, Bill: I know it is hard to keep track of James' stable of 928s... To the best of my knowledge, his white GTS is a '94, and the light blue one is an '81 model.
Just visited James' website, and saw pictures of the race car for the first time. Holy guacamole - he's done it with style!
It was great to see James in Wichita and get to ride in the Euro GTS. What a smooth ride that was!

Nicole, thanks for straightening me out on the Morrison stable... I wondered why the white GTS didn't have Euro features, side markers, no bumperettes and such. So his silver GTS is the 92 and the white one is the 94... and the Hellblau is an 81.
As long as James can keep it straight with that many cars... Nice problem to have I guess.
I wonder if he has that race car sorted yet. I didn't even know he had one... and it is Mark Anderson's old car? James was talking up getting my Shark out on the track. He is a licensed instructor and says he can get me up to speed, despite having no clue how to track a car. I need to take him up on that some day.
