Default Help with Blower Motor . . . . . Please

This past Saturday we replaced the fan / air conditioner blower motor. The bearings on the old one were done - fan barely turned - no wonder it crapped out. BUT . . . what we can't understand is why the new fan only works on level "4". When you turn the fan to levels 1-3 nothing happens, then you get to 4 and it BLASTS!

Help, what can be wrong?

Sounds like your resistor pack for your motor control is fried.

Beth ,the proper wording is AC Thermo -Bi-metal Relay=130. US$ At 928 Int. Devek is probably cheaper.

One thing it could be is ....
About center windshield, in the firewall cavity under the hood, is a terminal block that is intermediate to the A/C controller in the dash and the fan itself: the speeds are controlled between the dash controller rotary **** and this multi pin connector about 12" to center from the fan.
If the fan was reconnected correctly, a problem sometimes occurs in this connector referred to: there is a thermistor in this device that defaults to flat out fan speed whenever it is not cooled sufficiently by the fans discharge passing over it ( it is mounted from the inside of the duct work connecting the fan outlet to the heater/AC cores) - or more commonly, the thermistor simply screws up!
In either case, one of the end pins (driver's right) can be pulled to bypass this *&@#$ - i can't recall which one, but if this is the cause - it works! ( all is clearer if you have the wiring diag).
