Hi guys I was wondering who makes deck plates for the 928? I suppose the 944 would also be the same, I was planning on welding them in. Either post it or pm me thanks.

Aahh. A plate for inside the top of the block as reinforcement. At first I tought you wanted the plate that's bolted in place like the head for boring the block more accurately. Aren't those "deck plates?"

Don't know where to get either. Has been done. I thought those were custom made.

We have them, Greg. We also have the proper welding wire. What size engine are you trying to make them fit? They require a little champfering to get the desired weld penetration.

Nice units but a costly process unless you plan on making power. Not for the average engine rebuild.
