Default Boostard help and Q's

Does anyone have any experience with the Vortex Super Fuel Management Unit?

https://rennlist.com/forums/attachme...id=23002&stc=1

I also need to figure out the flow rate in pounds, of the stock injectors that were installed in my 1982 928s.

Thanks

I am pretty sure they are 24#. The correct stock part # is 280 150 154.

I haven't used the Vortech SFMU but what is your question on it?

GoRideSno,
How Is the SFMU different from say the adjustable rising rate ruel pressure regulator? and also when would you use one over the other. Or would you use them at the same time. The reason that I ask is that I have developed a problem that when Iim under boost the Air/Fuel mix goes way rich. To the point of Black smoke out the tail pipe. Under non boost conditions the car runs great. I currently have a device that was installed @1986 That sure looks like an SFMU. and i feel that this could have failed and is causing my rich fuel problem. The rest of my fuel delivery system seems to be fine. I realize my problems could be caused by other things as well. this is just step one of the trouble shooting process. Fuel pressure gauge and Air/fuel ratio meter are on order.

Any help would be greatful.

SilverSFR, I sent you a PM with my phone number. I am very familiar with the FMU's and would be happy to discuss your situation with you.
