The other day while sitting at a red light with my foot on the brake I noticed a slight forward surge in my car. It's like it wants to jump forward on me. Does this make sense? What could be causing this? (Auto trans.)

does the idle sound like its going up and down?,,your idle could be to high or surging due to a vacuum leak

My s4 did the same thing, erratic idle it seemed the car wanted to go forward and stop, like a baak and forth swing. I noticed this after I adjusted the throttle cable. I would try to loosen the throttle cable slightly under the hood (very easy), this might help...Adam
