Can anyone tell me the difference in the 4 volume and the 9 volume shop manuals on e-bay? I'm not planning anything like an engine or trans teardown, but would like to do day to day repair, etc....

The difference is in the range of year models covered. The four volume set covers through '83 or '84 (I think). There are at least two 9-volume sets on eBay now. I was suprised that another set starting at $400 ended with no bids. You can also get the manuals on CD in PDF format for a lot less. PM me for more info.

The manuals on disk are much easier to deal with. Print up the pages you need and throw em out when your done.

If I'm not mistaken, the set that ended with 0 bids, is a person with not such a great reputation here, that changes his selling name when his feedback gets so bad no one will buy from him. Also, if memory serves correctly, someone here bought a set of manuals from him that turned out to be a photocopy of poor quality, in cheap binders. He sells the same products time after time, under a new seller name. A nice 9 volume set on Ebay have been bringing consistently well over $400.00 and some over $500.00

I just bought a real 9 volume set from Decek for around 400.....
