Expansion Tank removal - Any insights?
Im getting ready to hand over my 84 to my Older Brother, but before I do so, I need to swap out the expansion tank. Two of the three bolts dont look difficult to get to, but the third looks like a bear (the bolt in the corner under the fender).
Any suggestions before I get dirty?
TIA

Mark the angle of the J hose on the bottom of the tank. It will help to get the new tank back in if you have the J hose pointed in the right direction. Sounds simple, but if you don't do it either the J hose will be crimped or you'll be wrestling with the tank to get it back in.
Make sure you inspect the J hose before putting it back in, otherwise you'll be taking everything back out in a month because the J hose has spung a leak (as me how I know).
Overall, not a bad job (1 hour the first time, 1/2 hour the second).
