Default Alarm and Central locking

I'm the happy owner of an 928 GT with central locking (original Porsche option). I'm searching the wiring diagram of this unit (SACHS in my model, black box under console behind clock near the blue alarm unit) as it doesn't appear in the 928 wiring diagram (US model) that I own.

Today, this system seems to be out of order, the led in the center console doesn't light and moreover the motor refuses to start... All of that after the removal of the radio... I've try to check all connections but find nothing wrong ? still searching.
The central locking by the power door locks is working and the lights in the doors seems to be OK (lignt on and off with the lock and the unlock).

My radio has been replaced by a Kenwood system and I haven't found any connection to the alarm which seems to be made according to the PET and the wiring diagram ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Pierre,
When you say "central locking" are you refering to a key fob push button system?
As the later 928s came with a central locking system as standard I beleive the remote system is what you are refering to.
From what I know Porsche GB and maybe Porsche France fitted a remote locking system prior to delivery to the dealers. Watching the UK based forum I see a lot of problems with this after factory system.
As far as I know no remote systems were fitted by Porsche to US cars so you will probably get little response from US owners, however there are some European members who may chime in.
Check out the UK based 928 sites on your search engine.
One UK 928 owner discarded the system fitted by Porsche and replaced it with a system similar to one I fitted to my own car. Cost about $60 and I have a wiring diagram if that would be helpfull to you. Send me a Private message with your email address and I will send it to you.
Bon Chance.
Roger

Default Precisions

Hi guys,

thnak you for your first answers, I'll give some informations to correctly found what's going bad.
My GT is a German car and yes the central locking is operated by a remote system (Bosch logo in the transmitter). This remote system is not integrated in the Key as I thought it is for later GTS ?
This system has been factory installed and it appears in the options' list in the service book.

As for anti-theft protection the brown-green wire appears to be isolated, I will check again.

Thanks
