The hose that broke goes into the intake manifold and then to this thing on the sway bar, and then down under the intake monifold? Is it the crank case vent hose? It had a vacum on it when i put my hand on it...

Remember that only those can win who don't give up...

What's bad about the AC clutch? Didn't you say in an earlier post that it was engaging?

yes it was. but now when it does it squeels/schreeches really loud and locks up with it full of refrigrent, and its doing when its not engaged... It started doing this last year and i thought the pully was bent but its not. Had a problem with it throwing belts.

If i understand you correctly, it is quiet when it's not engaged, but makes the sounds when it IS engaged. In otherwords. It makes the noise or locks up only when the compressor shaft is turned - right?

Because if the noise is always there, as it was on my car, it could just be the bearing in the pulley. You can read everything about that adventure in my ealier post ("A day under the shark...").

Well, make sure the system is evacuated properly before you replace the compressor. No need to do that, if it's just the bearing.
