Well i paid someone to put on 3 of my shocks. I put on 1 rear one the left side and drove the car to his house and it was fine. Well i think something is wrong with the right one. When ever give it some gas (like when it downshifts), the rear end shifts to the left and when i let off it shifts back kind of scary. I had an alignment done and it cured some of it..
Well from looking at in on a lift the coil spring isnt sitting in the notch in the metal spring perch right. Will that cause something like this? Or could it be something else. Something is not on right maybe? I just want my car normal again.

One problem can be not putting the washers back on the shaft right. There are two conical washers that go on either side of the hub and a flat washer by the shock.
Also check that the adjusters are all tight.

You might also check the lower "eye" of the rear shocks: The eye is NOT at 90 deg, so it is possible to install them bass ackwards!
This would noticibly stress the rear end, or bend a shock rod - well, it wouldn't help. Just a thought ...
BTW, you are correct in believing that the spring ends must be tucked into the spring plate notches.
