Was scrolling around the channells today and noticed Rennsport Reunion is on at 6.00. Don't know what the content is, but I'll probably check it out. Just an FYI if interested.

GMan,
thanks for the heads up. Rennsport Reunion II was held in April this year at Daytona Intl Raceway...a follow-up to the initial R-R that was held in Lime Rock a few years ago. I attended R-R II and had a wonderful time. It was a chance to see some of the most famous Porsche racers and legendary drivers as well. I wore out my digital camera that weekend. Got to see Derek Bell and big-time collector/enthusiast Jerry Seinfeld rubbing elbows at the Concours in Pit Lane after Jerry wheeled in off the track in his 917K #20.
I hope I can catch this show on SpeedChannel over the weekend while I'm visiting family who get it. My wife and I try to minimize the amount of TV we watch (our approach to "stimilus control") by subscribing only to the most basic cable tier (~20 channels - major networks, superstation, WGN, WB, FOX, 3 "GOD channels", the C-Spans, 3 public TV stations and a few home shopping stations). Needless to say, I'm seriously jonesing for Speed and Discovery channels. I cope by hanging out on the 928 Forum, reading my WSMs, and tinkering with my Shark

I watched the program. It was nice to see all of the historic Porsche's. I was a little dissapointed not to see a single 928 or hear the 928 mentioned at all. It was all about the racers and the 911.

Sorry...should have warned you that there was not one single 928 on the track at Rennsport Reunion II. I was REALLY hoping to hear that big V8 vroooooom sound in person whizzing by at triple-digit speeds or accelerating through the chicanes. There were only THREE street Sharks at the event in the corrals...no GT or GTS...one S4 and a two S3 or S2 models. The PCA group working the show stuck the 928s with the Cayennes way in the back...go figure.
