Default Design Ideas for new Porsche 928

If Porsche were to reintroduce the Porsche 928, what changes would you recommend. Personally, I would like to see the following two.

- GTS type rear widebody
- Windows flush with the body, instead of being recessed
- All wheel drive
- Better wheel fitment, flush with the body.

Some of the cosmetic updates for sure, but other than changing to a more reliable engine package (2-6 bearing issues) they could just reintroduce the car the same way it was left off in '95.

paddle shifter, more aggressive stance definatley a wider track. Design wise, I like the pictures of what it is rumored to look like.

Make a design that has a character as unique and the old 928. Keep it simple - don't clutter. Don't copy stuff fron here and there - make the new look as whole as the old look was. Design it with a wide track and make sure it has a waist - otherwise the design effort will be a waste!

Another question to ponder. If Porsche did make a new 928, should they try to make it the flagship of the Porsche fleet like they did before? Or should they accept that the 911 will always be their mainstay and just build it as an additional model maybe more affordable than the 911?

I agree with Shane and Nicole...don't change it much.

Add:
- F1-style paddle shifters or BMW-style SMG tranny;
- V8 variocam (variable valve timing);

Retain:
- design silhouette / body shape;
- wide-track stance of the GTS (including fender flares);

Delete / redesign:
- reliance on vacuum-actuated gadgets (e.g., HVAC);
- faulty rear hatch release mechanism;

Offer as options:
- GT package (5M, suspension upgrades)
- RS package (weight-trimmed model plus 5M and suspension upgrades)

Bottom line:
I'd consider buying one of the NEW Sharks in 15 years, as a retirement present to myself, once they've depreciated to the point where an average guy can afford one

But who here would (could) spend 100 to 125K on one...Not me. Part of what's so great about our 928s is how much car you get for so little. Most of us could get a supercharger, bilsteins, some 3-piece wheels and have a real supercar. And it would still be a bargain.
As it is, I still haven't been over 145 mph yet, and I feel like a bad consumer for not using what I have.
My goal is to be a good consumer...
