Exclamation Quick help needed: where to attach positive lead of diagnostic tachometer?

Hi,

I am about to adjust the idle on my early 86, and bought a shop tachometer for the purpose. One wire is attached to ground, one is supposed to be attached to a wire on the coil. Trouble is, there don't seem to be any "extra" wires coming off of the coils where the tach's instructions say there should be.

What wire can I clip the positive lead of this tester to, to sense the pulses? I searched the archives and no luck..

Wish I'd bought an inductive tach now...

thanks

IIRC, the correct post is labeled 15 on the single coil systems.
