Lower Window Scraper Rubber Rant
I had an issue with my drivers window so I thought when I have the skin off and doing the window fix I would tackle the job of replacing that rubber. Man Oh Freaking Man what a terrible thing that was!!!! 3 hours of messing with it...No BS.
I had the window out, the felt guides out, the inner rubber piece out and I still had a hard time. I cannot see how anyone can do this with any of those items still in.... The small rubber that inserts into the groove. Crazy

Anyways I got the driver side done, knuckles are all scraped up, so once those heal and in like 5 months I will try the Pass side.
I swear this rubber is put on before the inner and outer door pieces are put together. No way is Porsche doing this job any other way at the factory.
I used straight Dawn soap as a lubricant, that helped a bit. If anyone says I am just a wuss fine...come on over and show me how it's done so easy on the other side. Hehehehehehe

get some DC111 smear it onto the small rubber rib and then along the groove in the channel,
make sure the channel is cleared of any bits of the old rib.
I remove the inner lower seal then the felt guides.
NOTE if you have window tint put a few pieces of masking tape on the window so the felt guide mounts wont cut the tint,
the window should be all the way down.
I put the front of the seal on first at the rear of the window then slide it along the guide,
work in the sun so things are warm

I anticipated sore fingertips doing this job, but it turned out to be fast and relatively easy as 928 tasks go.
The ‘secret’ was to lubricate the scraper and channel (can’t remember what lubricant I used, but I may have a note of it), and feed the scraper in starting from rear of the door and pushing it forward towards front of car. I used the factory scrapers and the seal profile clicked very easily onto the relevant flange, and it slid easily. Made sure to push it far enough beyond the end of the window aperture to allow the scraper ‘hockey stick’ to fit neatly at the rear.

I tried to load it up from the rear, but after 4 inches or so it kept getting stuck. I am using the after market seal that lots of others have used, so I know it goes on and it finally did. I was using straight soap (Dawn) as a lubricant on the rubber and in the channel.
I am just complaining really. LOL. Seems like an easy job "For Me" turned out to not be so easy. I am working myself up to doing the passenger side in about a month and see how that goes.
I appreciate all of the comments and suggestions from the group!

I worked out the technique after 7 hours of pain…😂. Angle the back of scraper (inside edge) toward you slightly & use the palm of your hand to force the beaded rubber part into the trim. Any lube will work once you get the technique…

I couldn’t find one…. but i think it’s more about ‘understanding’ how the ‘Scraper’ needs to lock into the ‘trim’ on the outside of the door & then on the inside.
Warm the Scrapers in hot water
Use lubricant
Start from the ‘mirror’ end of the door
Outside
The Scrapers profile includes a small round ‘bead’ that needs to lock into a ‘channel’ in the Trim (make sure this is clear). I found it impossible to get this in with the Scraper sitting as it should on the trim…after hours i realised that you need to angle the Scraper more to the outside of the door which allows you to force the ‘bead’ into the ‘channel’ in the Trim with the palm of your hand. I did this 3/4 of the way on the Trim & then…
Inside
Work your way along the Scraper & Clip-lock it under the edge of the trim.
Adjust for the the curved end of the door as you go…
