Default Footwell flap actuator fixed!!!

Took the time this week to take the vacuum solenoids out and check if there is any current to the footwell flap solenoid. Regardless of the position of the slider on the HVAC Controller there was no current flowing to this solenoid, all others checked OK.
Pulled the HVAC Controller out today and opended the unit. It is really easy to work on the controller and I found two things.
1st: one of the sliding contacts that controlls the footwell actuator did not touch the CB for an unknown reason.
2nd: the end position "cold" microswitch was not actuated by the temperature slider (out of tolerance)
The fix:
took the copper contact slider out and bent them back into shape. Cleaned the CB tracks and contacts with a white eraser. Glued a small piece of plastic on top of the "cold" microswitch.
Put everything back together and installed it back into the car and it works as advertised, yeah. I also noticed that there was still enough vacuum in the system after about 12 hours to try all slider actuators settings twice before there was no vacuum anymore. Seems like the vacuum system is pretty tight, cool.
Have a nice Sunday!

Hey, that's good to hear. Those are on my list of things to do, also. Sounds like it wasn't as difficult as one would expect it to be.
Just a few more things to fix before I get to fix the a/c flap.
Thanks!
