[QUOTE=76FJ55;20130751]If you are measuring 11+ volts between 1 and 3, then there is NOT good contact there. Try shorting between 1 and 3 during the lift cycle and see if the motor continues past the premature stopping point.[/

Did as you said. Jumped/touched #1 to #3 when it was at stopping point and it did continue to fully up.

You'll need to pull the motor and open it up to see why you are losing contact between the wipers and the track at that point. Most likely it is just dirty and causing the point so loose contact, so you can probably just clean it and reassemble it, but htere is a possibility that the track itself has burned or failed, though that is highly unlikely. you won't know till you open it up.

Taking pics of removal and will do a separate on removal/install.

Motor pics below.
Pic 1 of rotation
Pic 1 of rotation
Pic 2 of rotation
Pic 2 of rotation
Pic 3 of rotation
Pic 3 of rotation
Given the color difference of these two contacts, are they the “stop point” for the rotation up/down?

Thoughts on condition or what I need to look at? Clearly, I can clean the contacts point noted above, just a bit dirty, but are those mild burn marks in the last pic?

your looking at the brushes and the armature .
NOTE the wiper pad is on the other end of the motor assembly,
inside the gearcase.

Wiper pad

The pad clearly is an issue, best to clean with wire brush or lightly sand?

I would use a red scothcbrite pad with some PB blaster,
dont rub hard wipe it off with alcohol then put deoxit 100 on the pad

Could the three fingers that make contact with the pad need to be bent, not making contact?
-went back in and bent them a little bit. Nothing.

stumped

Have you recounted the motor to the chassis? It grounds through the housing, so if it isn't mounted it won't have a ground and therefore won't run.

if it has a good ground, try supplying 12v directly to pin 4. That should power the motor, to verify it still works after reassembly, irrespective of the wire assembly condition.

Did not know that, will do so. This has me optimistic, 🙏

Hooked up as noted and motor is working! Will report back-install, tomorrow and see if issue is fixed. Thank you!

NOTE put a smear of grease on the pad then run the motor,
then open it , see what the fingers are doing,
they will leave a trace if they are touching
