I'm betting it wasn't one of the big 3. Just as a matter of personal tracking, I would be calling at 3 weeks, as to status. I had a problem with an order for minor item, not the big 3. At 3 weeks, they had billed credit card, but no ship. No explanation from guy on phone; I canx the order, had to have the card charged back b/c of further inaction on their part. Billing the card before shipping is a bad practice; really bad feeling from this group; no futher contact. I don't need my hand held, just good business practice generates business.

Steve G , What you do not like having your credit and charged before the part is ready to ship , before the store even buys it , before they even know if they CAN get it , and 30-60 days before they have to pay their supplier for it ? Nothing like being an unsecured creditor of a small business using customer money to float their "business". That plus supplier 30-60 day billing might just be more profit than they might see all YEAR. People wonder why small businesses fail it is nearly always under capitalized and at some point there is the realization that the money in the checking account is far less than the money owed or collected for products owed to customers. In California , the sales taxes collected on California sales is nearly 8% so a business needs to always remember that 8% of what is sold in California is NOT profit ,that one can be tough on a small business as well . For a new business in a new market it can be rather deceptive during the early years as sales increase month by month because you are paying the bills for last months sales with revenue from this months HIGHER sales . However when sales decline for what ever reason suddenly the big bills from last month must be paid by this months lower revenue. A few months of that and your suppliers may put you on COD if you fail to keep up and the downward spiral has begun.
