Default Car dies when I step on gas

My car died at a stop light today. i started it back up and drove down the road a mile or two and it died again at the next red light, this time it would start and idle, but when i stepped on the gas pedal, it dies. i really really need help, maybe some phoenix sharks could come help me out for some pizza and beer.

Well, a "tribute" to the Rennlist gods (in the form of membership fee) might be a good way to shake loose some of that good old 928 "domaine expertise".........

I'm just saying..........................

Ouchouch - this could be the dreaded computer failure. You might want to contact Rich Andrade at electronikrepair@earthlink.net or www.electronikrepair.com or 480-839-1937. Rich is located in Mesa, Arizona, so you might be able to get a replacement quickly, if that's what you need. I believe the cost is about $500.

odometer is just hittin 186k i believe. i can't believe it runs so well for so many miles, but now im having this crappy problem. the car wont even idle anymore now, i think the fuel isnt getting to the engine, might be the filter like dennis mentioned. I don't mean to **** off any gods, but if things like this keep going, im not going to be able to pay rent or for food and im going to have to quit school and go back home for a while.. and i absolutley refuse to do that.

...and you're gonna keep the Alfa? Uh, sorry. Does sound symptomatic of a bad airflow meter however.

Could be a simple vacuum leak. Or could be the idle air motor, under intake plenum.

Rennlist membership costs about the price of lunch at the local diner, including the bud light. I am a hillbilly and even I can afford that......

Re your situation. I hope you get your car back in shape....but I gotta tell you....these cars are wondefully loyal to owners who take care of them, and they are mean spirited %^$#@s to those who do not. You don't sound like you really have the resources to deal effectivly with a shark that decides to get cranky on you. These are like pure bred canines....the vet bills are higher and they occasionally have some really serious trips to the emergency ward.........I'm just saying......Course you own an alpha.....well, a Porsche, ANY Porsche is way more relaible than ANY car built in italy......
