Still in this calendar year, Devek Days looms closest on the horizon. In the San Francisco area, it's a short cab ride ( a few miles) from SFO down to Belmont for the fun. First full weekend in August, every year. I've only missed one year (last year...) since I got the car in 1997. Great fun, great people.

On the east coast, the Frenzy events are darn popular. Virginia in October is hard to beat. Fans from the whole eastern half of the country and more. There are a few folks from Europe that come over to see how the other half lives, so it must be an OK event.

In the Los Angeles area, Sharktoberfest is coming up fast. Last year we had a packed house of cars, and it looks like it will be even bigger and better this year. We are just down the road from a lot of popular Southern California atractions, but that's not the big reason to come here. Weather is great, people are great, the cars are great, the fun is abundant. Last year at our premier event, guests from all over the country dropped in, and we expect more this year. Don't miss it!

So about the question..............

DEVEK is in it's 5 th or 6th year on their annual event. Sharktoberfest is in it's 2nd. Which is better?....it's a personal thing...they are both great. You will get different crowds, different cars and different activities. Best recommendation, go to both. DEVEK in the beginning of August, Sharktoberfest at the end of October.

It will essentially come down to who you want to meet, when your schedule permits....and air fares I guess.

Aside from these two events, there are fantastic events also on the east coast like, Sharks in the Mountains(SITM) and The Frenzy. Might be another one, but can't think of it right now. OCIC is smack dab in the middle.

To raise the bar, we at SOCAL are working on a possible SUPER event for the winter months. It's a long shot right now, but if it works out, it will be the mother of all events. Never the less, you have a great pick of get togethers across the US.

Wanna travel? There are other 928 events around the world.

How about this, do you have a regional group up there? NO? Start one! Then have an event and we will come to you!

My apologies to Mike et. al.

Arguments sometimes get me overheated and in trouble. My bad. I have deleted my responses.
