It does sound fun...I may be able to pull it off as well. I have a nasty coolant leak I have to address first, not sure where it's coming from...could be relatively simple, could be water pump/T-belt nightmare.

My group from Green Bay is meeting with some of the 944 boys at the Prime Outlet Mall across the highway from EAA between 8:30 - 9:00 am. EAA wants everyone there by 10:00.
The 944 group is coming from the Kenosha / Milwaukee area, here is the 944 thread. Contact Lead Foot 944 if you want to follow that group to Oshkosh:

Thank you in advance for for your participation in this exciting event - we look forward to a great day! Registration levels are still climbing and we expect over 50 German cars at the show. Contained in this email are a few reminders and helpful tips to make your day as fun and enjoyable as possible.
The EAA AirVenture Museum is situated right next to exit 116 from Highway 41. Click here to see the Museum's location on the MapQuest website. When you arrive, follow signs for the car show at Pioneer Airport.

The Registration Process:
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the show officially begins at 10:00 a.m. All cars that want to be registered should arrive by 10:30 a.m. On arrival your car will be directed to a parking spot and you can complete your registration after you are parked. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Reminders:
All drivers and occupants of registered cars receive free Museum admission. The Museum is open from 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
Souvenir dash plaques will be given to the first 100 cars to participate that day.
Vintage airplane rides will be available all day including flights in EAA's 1929 Travel-Air open cockpit bi-plane and in EAA's Bell Helicopter. Young Eagle Flights will also be available for children between the ages of 8-17.
A lunch ticket can be purchased when you check in for $5.00 per person. Lunch will be pizza ordered from Tommy Tailspins and soda will be included. It will be served between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
