It seems that there are a lot of needs in the market for supercharging still. We have seen all the kits and it still seems that there is no thought put into oil control and crankcase ventilation.
We have a very good crankcase ventilation and oil control solution that we sell. Although we manufacture and market it - the developers were many, scattered throughout Rennlist posts, trial and errors, Mike Schmidt, Tim Murphy, and others. Maybe you saw some of those "High Hose" ideas that ran the camtower breathers over the top of the plenum and such. Some of the soultions we reviewed were pretty crazy looking, but effective in one manner or another.

We just took the most elegant design to separate oil from the breather mist and return it ot the motor, and had the fittings made in metal for us. It works very well.

There are three breather needs : 1) for the stock airbox 928 2) for the supercharged 928 that does not have an airbox anymore, 3) for the 928 race car that must run the system to a catch tank at the end.

Our solution adapts to all 3.

Here it is on a 16v SC track car:

I am not saying that total seal won't work. I just think that they take a lot more work to make properly work. Anyway, the Goetze are cheap. I sell them for less than $20 per set. They really seem to work as well as the factory rings and cost about four times less.

Good luck

No I have not gotten to it. I intended to do it in May and had a dyno date, but the guys at the shop went to the mid-ohio races the week I had the car in the area.

It has been one week after another of too many things on the to-do list. Gretch is back in my shop undergoing some tweaks to the install that should be done in a couple of Saturdays. After that, I am going to reschedule the Dyno time.

Sorry to disappoint.....Tim has been all over me to get it done too.....

Hey Gretch we all know that the "two fingers" being held up is your cry for two turbos and a twin disk clutch setup.

John, my A6 Bi-turbo HAS two turbos......I ain't crying for any more of them.

Interesting interpretations about the Iconic McQueen two finger salute though. Some Brit guys on the 996 board think it means "F*&% You"......

But you should hear what they think the word "fanny" means.....Now that is funny!!!!!

Re twin disc clutch, I was thinking of that but Tim gave me an idea I like better. I need a used GT clutch disc to experiment with.......

BTW, if anyone is offended by the McQueen avatar I will take it down.......

suuuuuure.....................

Yes, you need to chip those pea shooters on the A6...man, those are small turbos...

You could do a stronger clutch in single disk, but man the stock twin disk is very strong. If only my ailing 3 spd was so strong.

John, The A6 Bi-turbo is rated at 250 BHP. It only "feels" fast because the A suspension and sedan body can barely handle that power......

The bride drives this one and she doesn't believe in using mirrors, (kinda prefers the spinning owl head approach), so I don't dare chip it for fear she will end up driving it shiney side down...........

Given that little bit of insight, you can only imagine the pucker factor involved when she wants to take my C4 for a spin............

If a stronger, kelvar pucked single disc does not help Gretch "get a grip" then I will double the discs...............

EDIT a very generous sponsor here has just donated a used disc to my experiment (for the cost of shipping). If he wants to be named, that is up to him,but "Thanks man" you guys are a class act. Now to contact Murphy's clutch wizard..............

Well..........Jim, the cat is out of the bag it seems............Thanks man, Like I said you guys are a class act.

I just got off the phone from my favorite racing shop (European Performance Engineering, Natick MA). The proprietor is Jerry Pelligrino. the guys who race 911's know him well.......

I asked him for counsel on where to get my new found disc repucked and in so doing, 'splained my clutch problem to him. I mentioned that on some occasions Gretch couldn't get a grip on the 550 BHP at "launch", and that SURELY they had delt with this challenge cause they build cars with MUCH more horse power.

He said "Yeah.......................but we don't drive em that way............."

He recommends that after I am done finding out that kelvar is a good heat resistor, I should take John's advice and invest into more clamping power.

"or.......... you could just stop driving like an *******"............

Man, I am still laughing OUT Loud.........
