Default 928 S performance chips on eBay

LINK

No affiliation, but current price is pretty cheap. Just an FYI if anyone is looking.

I don't think they do, but I can vouch for the fact that performance chips on an '85 work well. Acceleration is improved and the rev limiter is raised by 200 rpm.

I'm not sure how much it's influenced by the chips, but my gas mileage on road trips using 87 octane gas is a bit north of 23 mpg.

Then again, my cats are gone and the air pump has been bypassed so only the viscous fan is turning by the belt.

Not all chips are created equal ......... the 928 does not have a top speed limiter so what did they "remove" ? and all 85-86 USA engines require premium already so how much can they know about 928s ??

The '85 - '86 928s used an EZF spark controller, NOT EZK (K= knock detector). You never know what code was used since no name is included ... it could even be an illegal copy of another company's chip (the seller has no right to sell it).

So, buyer beware!

Jim:

I haven't used premium in my '85 for at least 2 years.

I would like to mention that these chips are easy to copy, and the seller has been buying chip burning equipment...

O&N,
Re: his purchase of a SPECTROLINE PR-320T UV EPROM ERASER (WITH TIMER). You are very observant! Nice work. This guy is pretty brazen...must be askin' for trouble. My guess is that it would not take the authorities very long to close the case on his activities if there were probable cause to investigate him.
Best,
T
