Default Ignition distributor blank-off

Now that I am converting my '78 to full EFI I need to find a blank-off plate or item for the hole where the distributor used to be. I found some 3D print files but I don't want a questionable quality of material to blank this hole. First I was thinking to use a distributor with blanked-off wires but I don't want to use the origial distributor. Just an old one that is sort of a left-over from a parts car. Better still is to have it blanked off without using a distributor. There must be someone who did this before. Any ideas?

use the old distributor housing and cut it off under the wide part .

Then have a welder weld a plate over the top of it then install it into the head and bolt it down.

NOTE this would be the least pretty but function well and if you dont have fabrication skills .

If you leave the distributor in place just remove the drive gear and it will disable it with minimal effort.

Carl used to sell blanking plates but since he retired the new company that took over stopped making 90% of what he offered.

i have that , it was cut from a distributor and shut welded inside. It uses the oem O ring gasket to seal it . Top was machined to have a "nice" finish.

Would something like this work?: https://www.clewett.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=309

Lindsey Racing also makes a similar product: https://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Porsche/LRA-DCD.html

Cheers
