Default Temperature sensors

Does anyone know if it would be possible to remove the inside and outside temperature sensors, and revert the climate control system to manual operation?

I know if you remove them the system will go full hot. Most people that have trouble with there climate control either have control head problems, a bad out side tempsensor or no freon.

The auto temp control on my car looks at the inside and outside sensors, and compares them with the slider to decide whether to open the outside air intake to the cabin, or add heat from the engine. The control head itself has a sliding switch to choose which vents are open, and the slider for the temp control, the one that's compared with the other two sensors as described.

What exactly do you feel the controller should do in "manual" mode? There is no provision for modulating hot water flow from the temp slider; Heater valve is operated by an on-off solenoid, and you can see that function by just disconecting either or both of the temp sensors. Valve is either full-hot or no flow at all. All other functions are already manual.
