Default Last 5-speed GTS Produced

It is possible that the blue GTS shown at the 25th anniversary party in Stuttgart was the very last one. However, this is pure speculation on my part at this time. Maybe Rich or any of the other attendees might be able to give more details about that one.
Nicole, I was told that the 928 GTS at the Porsche museum (only 211 km) was the last 5-speed manufactured. It was implied that there were A/Ts made after that.

Great! Let us know what you find out. And if you have some time, go to Langenburg as well, and take some pictures of the 4-door 928 made by ASC. Maybe someone there will be friendly enough to open it up so you can take some better interior shots...

Thanks, Rich! I wish somebody had looked up the VIN on that one...

I would love to find one of those cars that was supposedly built after production officially ended.........

Factory's blue GTS 5sp's VIN is way to small for last GTS. Jörg Austen's book lists VIN 00001-00459 for ROW and 20001-20137 for US as range in '95. That would mean they did over 170 ROW automatics after last ROW 5sp and probably several US models also.

Pic stolen from JE928Sx4's website.

low miler, don't expect to see that blue GTS or any other 928 on display in factory museum. There isn't much space and rarely if ever there is any 928 related material on display other than few small models (not for sale).

I visited the museum last April and there wasn't a 928 in sight. To see what was there, take a look at my web site.

The 928 VIN In Erkka post is a model year 1996!

Man it would be nice to have an "S" as my year designation.
