Flott? Did you remove the sensor? Or did you fix in place? If the former I'm interested in knowing if you had to remove the cam cover or, if not, what technique you used to get the sensor out (and back in.)

I also had a hall sensor fault showing while diagnosing any errors prior to the SC install about six month ago.
My car actually put out 30 HP less then Cameron's '91GT on the same dyno. The only error I showed was hall sensor.
My mechanic actually replaced it for me, but he did not remove the valve cover. I think he said it was a 30 minutes procedure. He has some really cool tools thought to get into these hard to get places...
The fault was gone after replacing the unit. It did not look damaged in any way after it was removed...

Dave,
Sorry I did not need to remove the sensor. So, I do not have a better procedure for you. I was able to access the wire from the front of the engine and repair it with electrical tape. I may seek to replace the wire altogether or make more of a permanent repair but I want to first see if the Hall Sensor holds up. However, do note that without your input and pictures on this thread I wouldn't have even been able to find the thing.
