Default Tension on belts

I bought a Krikit tension gauge, as I’m getting ready to change my compressor and will be changing belts. Can someone tell me the tension lbs the belts are to be set to? All I read talk about the slack they should have, but can’t find actual tensions.

I’m not sure that there is an actual belt tension for the accessory belts. The WSM itself talks about a half inch deflection. That should be adequate to use as a bench mark. I have done so on all of my sharks over the years and never had an issue.

That’s pretty much the industry standard as I’ve known it for 40 years. Serpentines have their own tensioner.

Thanks gents! Looks like I'll return the gauge, then.

Another way to think about is 15° or less rotation by hand.
