Default Electrical Gremlins Help!

Help

while driving yesterday I felt my car jerk slightly for about a second and all my dummy lights on my dash would come on just for a moment and go then go off again. What could be causing this ? I suspect a corroded ground or is it possible that the brain is on its way out.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Dan

I'd look carefully at the ignition switch and the "X" relay, in that order. Symptoms say that you lost power (not ground...) through the 15 bus or the X bus. 15 is on when the key is on, X is triggered off the 15. This is from memory so somebody jump in if I picked the wrong bus number for ignition-on.

Dr Bob

thanks for the info , how would you check the relay and or the ignition switch to figure out which one is the problem?
