Cable routing through LHS front frame near firewall
My project car (‘89 S4) disassembly photos are lacking in a few areas and this is one. The LHS front frame near the firewall has several routing holes and I don’t have a photo showing which cable is routed through which hole. I’ve labeled them A-D below, with an additional blind hole being labeled ???. Any help with the correct cable routing would be greatly appreciated.
yes thats a better perspective, thanks
the top hole ??? looks like a rubber plug goes to it,
looks like A it could be a harness.
the big hole C should be the vacuum lines for the tank and the flappy source.
The other lower hole B could be for the cruise control cable, again the rubber grommet will tell you.
The bottom hole D is for the brake line and the ABS and brake pad sensor
NOTE you should be able to tell when you fit the vacuum lines,
as you probably removed them with the rubber grommets.

thanks Mrmerlin. That helps clarify things considerably. The blind hole I’ve labeled ??? is a mystery still. I’m calling it a blind hole but I haven’t chased it to see if it emerges someplace else and it’s just been too long since disassembly.
