Its been too hot in Arizona to do much, but I went back out in the garage with a portable AZ to do a bit of wiring work on my 82. The car has been running rough. Following an old wire for jump post on passenger side to driver side it connects I think(cant see without pulling the power steering reservoir). Box is in picture below. It has no marking, numbers etc. Any ideas?
Also found a disconnected connector tucked behind the power steering reservoir. (picture below. Anyone have an idea what it goes to?
It is some sort of after market add on, maybe an alarm. Are those tan wires and splices are part of it? That is not a factory set up or splice. Also the blue wire looks added and not factory. As to the connector, I'm not sure what that would be for. Maybe for a Euro headlight adjuster motor? Anyway, you'll need to trace those wires all the way back to their source, and remove them.
