R12 is sweeter than R134a. R134a has a distinct lingenberry nuance that can best be described as dry. Personally, I like to have R12 with my white meats and seafood, and sometimes, in a pinch, I'll use a splish of R134a with steaks and lamb. But there's really no substitute for rosemary .....

I noticed this at the local parts store last week. http://advance-auto1932quality.cross...=&L2CatID=7708 In case the html doesnt come through its the INTERDYNAMICS R-134a Retrofit & Charging Kit for $30. Since my AC appears to be freon-less anyway is there any reason I shouldnt try it?
Thanks
- Eric
