I figured out why my rear hatch wont release. The splined bushing that attaches from the motor to the arm is broken. I sent a guy on this forum $50.00 for a whole motor but it seems I have been ripped off. He is not a Rennlist member. Live & learn. If anyone has this part I would be willing to buy it or trade something I have for it.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune a lot of people seem to enjoy having money sent to them . Our everyday retail price for a used rear hatch motor guaranteed for one full year is $65 . We take credit card payment (so you can always charge back) and actually do send out parts everyday . I do not have any broken motors with the part you need since it frequently breaks .

Perhaps you could tell us who you are talking about... We might be able to "encourage" him to complete the deal, or at very least we won't fall into the same trap with him.

His message board name is 928cowboy. The name I made the money order out to was Dana Brazil. His email name is pilotguy. I wasn't the only person on this board that he burned. Only buy from a Rennlist member. That way if there is a problem the administrator could step in and help. I wish there was a policy in place only allowing members to sell on this board. It sure would of helped me out. Like I said in my original post, "Live and learn".

Interestingly, Dana Brazil is a subsidiary of the Dana Corporation, which supplies truck chassis to Daimler-Chrysler. Car parts... Hmmm.
