Extra wires off battery?
POS POs wired in lots of electronic CRAP. I've removed all of the extra wire I've found. These wires were connected to the positive terminal of the battery. What belongs? According to the wiring diagram, there should be 7 leads coming off the battery, one of which goes to the starter.
Which of the red wires in this pictures should be connected to the battery? There are two different types of connectors; one of the wires connected to a copper connector has been cut:

The jumper terminal block on the right side fender in the engine compartment accepts the far end of the heavy battery cable and sends a shorter, similar-gage cable to the starter. There are also some other branch terminals that arise from that terminal block as well.

Thanks, Bern. The darker wire into the bottom copper terminal is cut off about 1 cm from the terminal (it's poking into my ring finger). So now I get to figure out what's been hacked. Yeehaw.

BerNard94 brought up an important point (as so did Dr. Bob in an earlier post), it is very important to have clean connections for all of these wires and the positive terminal is attached to the battery. If the connections are bad or corroded all kinds of bad things can happen ... intermittent running, stalling, and overheating! Just because the battery is out of sight, it shouldn't be out of mind.
