Default Mystery Part

I found this on the floor of my car and I can't figure out where it came from. It has a part number 8 631 360 160 and has <ABS> written on it. It's about 4 inches long and 2 inches wide. Any ideas?

Is that maybe one of the bases for the ignition control units?

Would that mean that it comes from the passenger's footwell where the control units are? The parts guy at Zims said it could be a Bosch part number.

Ernest,

The "ABS" is the type of plastic it is made of. Not sure, but I believe there are currently/soon to come EU requirements for the recycling of plastic stuff.

One of the keys to recycling plastic is to identify the stuff. Then you know which process to run it through.

As to what the part actually is, I would hazard a guess that it is a support bracket for a Blaupunkt amp or cd changer unit. Sure looks like one anyway.
