Preparing a belt and water pump replacement service I found this new and original water pump for sale for $600 but not sure about the reference.The seller says it is a S4/GT/GTS pump. The box says it was built in 2017.
Local dealer in Luxembourg quoted >$1200 for the water pump(!!) so is this one suddenly worth it? Otherwise what about GEBA water pumps?
Hello, the coolant pump with the best track record is IMO the Laso pump. The one you show in the picture is not a Laso I think, but OEM Porsche. get a fresh LASO , my one time installing a new Porsche pump on my S4,
and it lasted for 1500 miles before it sprung a leak. I know probably an anomaly,
I have not had any new Laso Failures.
Also I have found quite a few " belt gets loose fails" from the rebuilt pumps.
