Using Dwayne’s site to remove my pod, this is the bottom piece, it has this box attached to it. This does not show on the site, it looks like an add on not sure if it is factory item. The dial has an outer 3 click **** and an inner variable ****. Any idea of what it is?


What is the box with the wires?

 

Old school radar detector. I'm guessing the switch had something to do with switching bands or volume/mute.

 

it's an old radar detector. Not stock. Remove and repair the wires it is tapped into.

 

Never heard of that one I always ran with an Escort, also got these wires coming from that box being tapped in at these two locations on the instrument panel, I have not disconnected them yet, I guess they just twist out?

These fine wires to light(post?) so I should just twist them?

 

Yes twist them out. The PO wired the warnings to a couple of unused locations.
